All safari bookings for Jim Corbett National Park are governed by the official rules of the Uttarakhand Forest Department. By confirming a booking with My Corbett Safari, guests agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Safari Permit Cancellation Policy (Forest Department Rules)
Safari permits issued by the Forest Department are:
Strictly non-refundable
Non-transferable
Non-modifiable
No refund is applicable on confirmed safari permits.
Government charges including permit fees, guide fees, and vehicle entry fees are non-refundable.
Changes in safari date, visitor name, or ID details are not allowed after confirmation.
These rules are mandated by the Forest Department and apply to all operators.
2. Facilitation & Service Charge Cancellation Policy
Our service fee includes administrative processing, coordination, and operational support.
Cancellation on service fee:
Within 24 hours of booking (before permit processing): 100% refund of service fee
After permit processing begins: No refund
Same-day or last-minute cancellation: No refund
3. Jeep / Canter Safari Cancellation by Forest Department
Safaris may be cancelled due to:
Heavy rainfall or extreme weather
Zone or route closures
Wildlife movement restrictions
VIP or emergency forest operations
In such cases:
Government fees: Refund depends solely on Forest Department decision
Service/facilitation charges: Non-refundable
4. Elephant Joy Ride Cancellation Policy
Elephant joy rides are operated by local communities and are not official forest safaris.
No refund is applicable under any circumstances.
5. Resort / Hotel / Tour Package Cancellation Policy
Each hotel or resort follows its own cancellation terms, which are shared at booking time.
Typical structure (may vary):
30+ days before arrival – 90% refund
15–29 days – 70% refund
7–14 days – 60% refund
2–6 days – 50% refund
Less than 48 hours / No-show – No refund
6. Forest Lodge Booking Policy
Forest lodges including Dhikala, Bijrani, Jhirna, and Dhela are:
Strictly non-refundable
Fully controlled by the Forest Department
Subject to availability and official regulations
7. General Booking Policies
Booking Confirmation
Confirmation and vouchers issued within 24 hours
Shared via Email, WhatsApp, SMS, or hard copy
Accommodation Policy
For 3 guests, one room with an extra mattress may be provided
Room allocation depends on hotel policies
Pricing & Government Revisions
Any increase in safari permits, guide fees, fuel charges, taxes, or conservation fees will be payable as per prevailing government rules.
8. Rainy Season & Provisional Bookings
Safaris between 1 June and 14 November are provisional
Subject to weather and safety clearance
No refund for cancellations due to rain, natural events, or forest restrictions
9. Safari Booking Failure
If a safari cannot be booked due to:
Technical issues
Unavailability
Forest Department rejection
A 100% refund will be processed to the original payment method.
10. Peak Season Policy
During Holi, Diwali, Christmas, New Year, and long weekends, special cancellation terms may apply. These will be communicated before confirmation.
11. Force Majeure
My Corbett Safari is not liable for cancellations due to:
Natural disasters
Government orders
Forest closures
Strikes or protests
Sudden zone shutdowns
Hotel overbooking
Assistance for alternatives may be provided, but no compensation or refund can be claimed beyond applicable policies.
12. Mandatory ID Requirement
Valid government ID (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, etc.) is compulsory.
Safari entry will be denied without valid ID.
No refund is applicable in such cases.
13. Incorrect Information Policy
Incorrect details such as name, age, or ID number may result in cancellation by the Forest Department without refund.
14. No-Show Policy
Failure to report on the scheduled date will result in full cancellation without refund.
15. Jurisdiction
All disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi, India.
